The Statistical Office in Krakow is located at 3 Kazimierza Wyki Street in Krakow. Its area of operation covers the entire Lesser Poland Voivodeship. The Office has four field branches: in Chrzanów, Nowy Sącz, Tarnów, and Zakopane. The office hours are from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The Statistical Office is part of the public statistics service units under the President of the Central Statistical Office. The main tasks of the Office include conducting statistical surveys, including questionnaire surveys and censuses, providing and distributing statistical information, statistical education, popularizing and promoting statistics, managing the national official REGON and TERYT registers, and cooperating with government administration, local authorities, the scientific community, businesses, and the media.
The office carries out nationwide tasks for public statistics in the areas of: social economy, health and healthcare, culture, social assistance, foster care, and rescue services in specialized centers:
Małopolska Regional Research Center, Culture Statistics Center, Health and Healthcare Statistics Center, Social Economy Research Center, and Social Assistance Statistics Center.
